Advanced Adventure Course is For:

• Certified Open Water Scuba Divers: Looking to expand their knowledge and skills.
• Advanced Training Seekers: Divers aiming to take their dive training to the next level.
• SDI Specialties Enthusiasts: Those interested in an introduction to various SDI specialties.

Course Prerequisites:

• Age Requirement: Minimum age 18, or 10 with parental consent.
• Certification: SDI Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent, SDI Junior Open Water Scuba Diver or equivalent.*
  • *Note: Junior divers (ages 10-15) can only take specialties approved for their age.

Limits for Junior Divers:

• Deep Diving: Maximum depth for divers aged 10-15 is 21 metres/70 feet.
• Dry Suit: Minimum age 12.
• Wreck Diving: Limited penetration, minimum age 15.

What You Can Expect to Learn:

• Core Specialties Overview: SDI Deep Diver and SDI Navigation Diver.
• Introduction to Three Chosen Specialties: Gain basic insights into specific areas of diving.

In-Water Skills:

• Perform Core Specialty Skills: Successfully execute skills for dive one of the three chosen specialties.
• Deep Diver Open Water Dive:
  • Test and check all equipment.
  • Familiarize with the dive site.
  • Descend to planned depth (up to 30 metres/100 feet; junior divers 10-15 limited to 21 metres/70 feet).
  • Follow dive plan and ascend to safety stop.
  • Exit and log the dive.
• Navigation Open Water Dive:
  • Establish a reference point, plan the dive, and enter the water from shore/boat.
  • Practice navigation techniques on the surface (out and back, squares, and triangles).
  • Perform navigation techniques at the bottom.
  • Ascend to safety stop.
  • Exit and log the dive.
